Abdul Rahman Ibn Abdul Aziz as-Sudais (عبد الرحمن السديس) was born in the city of Qassim, Saudi Arabia in 1962(1382 A.H) he's originally from the Anza clan. He had memorized the Quran by the age of 12 growing up in Riyadh.
Al-Sudais studied at the Al Muthana Bin Harith Elementary School, and afterward the Riyadh Scientific Institution from which he graduated in 1979 with a grade of excellent. He obtained a degree in Sharia from Riyadh University in 1983 and became an IFK (Islamic Fundamental Knowledge) lecturer after the conclusion of his study. He obtained his Master's in Islamic fundamentals from the Sharia College of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in 1987 and received his PhD in Islamic Sharia from Umm al-Qura University in 1995 while working there as an assistant professor after serving at Riyadh University.
He is respected for his precise, controlled, and particularly emotional recitation of the Qur'an in accordance with Tajweed, the rules of beautiful recitation. He was particularly called upon in the Ramadan Taraweeh prayers of 2006 (1427 AH) to recite the last few surahs of the Qur'an as well as to make the closing Dua followed by the millions of Muslims in Mecca as well as around the World by means of TV or radio.
In 2005, he received the prize of the Islamic Personality Of the year in the 9th annual Dubai International Holy Quran Award. He is the leading Imam at Masjidil Haram, Makkah.

Besides his work, Shaykh Khalifa participated in a number of international and national competitions of Quran learning and recitation where he earned good results such as the 12th local competition of the Holy Qur'an, the competition of Sharjah, the international competition of King Abdul Aziz in Makkah and the ninth session of the Dubai International competition.
There are audio and video versions of Shaykh Khalifa's recitations and teaching of the holy Qur'an that are available throughout the Arab and Islamic world but also episodes of his TV show “Celebrity Readers” that is aired on the Arabic channel Al-Sharjah.

Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary first recited the Quran in his village mosque. In 1944, he entered the official radio station as reciter where he made his first recitation on 16 February 1944. On August 7, 1948, he was nominated Muazzin (Prayer caller) of Sidi Hamzah Mosque and then a reciter in the same mosque. He was also supervising the recitation centers of the Al Gharbia Governorate.
In 1949, Mahmoud Al-Hussary was appointed reciter of Sidi Ahmed Al-Badawi of Tanta of Al-Ahmadi Mosque and then of Al-Imam Al Hussein Mosque in Cairo by 1955.
All along his way, Sheikh Mahmoud obtained various medals and decorations and was honored by numerous Islamic and foreign countries which he visited. He was treated with special care by leaders, kings, and presidents. He received the medal of honor concerning Sciences and Arts from the president Jamal `Abd An-Nasir in 1967 and was elected as president of the Islamic world league of Koran reciters. He had the chance to recite the Quran in front of the American congress and the United Nations. Thanks to his, Allah guided dozens of people during his journeys abroad. He remained, for the rest of his life, a researcher, a writer, a thinker, and of course one of the biggest public figures in Egypt and in the Arab Muslim world.

Abdulbasit has left a fortune of high qualified recordings of both the chanted Holy Scripture and the recited one. He was an ambassador of the Holy Qur'an across many countries and the first president of the Egyptian reciter's Bar in 1984.
Abdulbasit Abdusamad went to many Arab countries to recite the Qur'an in Ramadan such as Saudi Arabia and Syria.
He died on November the 30th, 1988. May Allah have mercy on his soul, bless him and grant him a place in Jannah.

He was then appointed the director of the legal affairs of King Faysal’s hospital and the Research Center in Jeddah. Mahmoud entered the Quran School at the age of four. At 8, he had already memorized the whole Quran and at 12, he then learned the ten recitations on the Quran from Al-Azhar in 1958.
Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary first recited the Quran in his village mosque. In 1944, he entered the official radio station as reciter where he made his first recitation on 16 February 1944. On August 7, 1948, he was nominated Muazzin (Prayer caller) of Sidi Hamzah Mosque and then a reciter in the same mosque. He was also supervising the recitation centers of the Al Gharbia Governorate.
In 1949, Mahmoud Al-Hussary was appointed reciter of Sidi Ahmed Al-Badawi of Tanta of Al-Ahmadi Mosque and then of Al-Imam Al Hussein Mosque in Cairo by 1955.
All along his way, Sheikh Mahmoud obtained various medals and decorations and was honored by numerous Islamic and foreign countries which he visited. He was treated with special care by leaders, kings, and presidents. He received the medal of honor concerning Sciences and Arts from the president Jamal `Abd An-Nasir in 1967 and was elected as president of the Islamic world league of Koran reciters. He had the chance to recite the Quran in front of the American congress and the United Nations. Thanks to his, Allah guided dozens of people during his journeys abroad. He remained, for the rest of his life, a researcher, a writer, a thinker, and of course one of the biggest public figures in Egypt and in the Arab Muslim world.
